Things You Should Know About AP Chemistry

With universities and schools resuming gradually and warily, students have begun picking their courses more anxiously than any other time in recent memory. The format of the exam is fixed and that gives an advantage to students in their preparation.

Section 1 consists of 30 Multiple Choice Questions which students have to attempt in 90 minutes without a calculator.

Section 2 consists of 3 long-answer and 4 short-answer questions which have to be attempted in 1 hr 45 minutes with a scientific or graphic calculator.

Weightage of both sections is equal with respect to marks.

Unit 3: Intermolecular Forces and Properties

Unit 4: Chemical Reactions

Unit 5: Kinetics

Unit 6: Thermodynamics

Unit 7: Equilibrium

Unit 8: Acids and Bases

Unit 9: Applications of Thermodynamics

The test requires a thorough understanding of these topics with conceptual clarity and application.
